Thornton Lofts:
Located directly on the boardwalk of Venice Beach, the Thornton Lofts are a renovation and conversion of two condominium buildings into twelve live-work units in collaboration with Cactus Store Gardens, Part Office (now Subtila & KorProjects), and artist Sofia Londono. In Phase 1, two units including the roof decks were fully renovated and outfitted in custom furnishings by Part Office. All the exterior common spaces were redesigned by Cactus Store Gardens with custom woodworking, pottery, and tilework surrounded by strange Moringa and Delonix trees along with native-ish beachy grasses and reeds.
